First you want to save as much money as possible.So be sure that you quickly get all the valuable items out of the water.  I have seen people panic and not react quick enough in my water damage business.But the slower you react, the resulting damages will take place.The more in water damage that happens, the more money it will take to keep it together. Second you need to go and dry up any excess water as quickly as possible.  The longer you take to do this the more damage can occur.Damage such as mold.  In my mold removal in San Diego company I have seen people not dry up the area and it makes the mold worse
