Organize your receipts-do people really do that?? As a professional organizer, let me ask you, where are your receipts?? Stuffed in your purse?? Stuffed in your wallet?? In the car maybe?? How about shoved in drawers or perhaps used as a bookmark?? I could go on and on!? Receipts, ahhh, such small pieces of paper that so easily turn into overwhelming piles. I thought I’d share a few very simple solutions to help you get control of those pesky pieces of paper. Here’s how you organize your reciepts : Look at what’s on your receipt, why are you keeping it??? If it’s a cash purchase for a pack of gum, do ya really need that?? Why? Keep labeled envelopes at home for your credit cards.? Every time you make a purchase with your credit card, put the receipt in the right envelope.? When the statement comes, you can take them out and double check that all transactions are correct. Shred receipts you no longer need.

A few days ago, I discussed how my credit card account got closed when Advanta decided to pull the plug on their credit card division. The irony here is that the Advanta card was once considered one of the best credit cards for the buck, as per Forbes. So naturally, like one of the million customers who were abandoned up the creek at short notice, I thought about what kind of steps to take next. If you were caught in this situation, you probably scrambled as I did to straighten out the things that were affected by this predicament.

I’m one of those people who appreciates credit cards (especially cash back credit cards ) as great tools that can benefit our finances when used wisely. But you may have a different opinion, especially if you are struggling with card debt. On Travel Credit Cards: How To Travel With Money

It looks like we may have some travel plans in our horizon, but unfortunately, it’s not going to involve me personally. My spouse will be traveling to Australia to visit family in the near future, and has been wondering about how to keep his costs low during this trip.
